Hagen Biehler, Clarinet 

Clarinettist Hagen Biehler was born in Bonndorf (Black Forest/Germany). After school he began his studies in 1984, working with Prof. Wolfgang Meyer at the University of Music Karlsruhe, where he graduated in 1989 after spending a year studying in Vienna with Professor Alfred Prinz at the Hochschule für Musik Wien. In 1989 he continued his studies with Prof. Robert Marcellus at Northwestern University Chicago and graduated in 1990 with his Masters of Music. After returning to Germany, Biehler finished studies with Prof. Jörg Fadle and completed a concert exam at University of Arts Berlin. From 1986 to 1990 he was member of the Academic Foundation for Germany. He has been solo clarinetist for the Meiningen Court Orchestra since 1993 and has performed as a soloist with the orchestra and with several chamber ensembles.

Tamara Lorenzo Gabeiras, Piano 

Tamara Lorenzo Gabeiras is a collaborative pianist, performing regularly with singers and instrumentalists. She joined the Meininger Staatstheater (Germany) as repetiteur with conducting duties in the season 2019/20.

Last year she was selected by Pascal Dusapin for the “Opera Creation Workshop” at the Festival Aix-en-Provence and received a grant from the New York Women Composers organization to promote their works. In 2018 she won the “Orchestra Prize” at the International Conducting Competition Opera de Baugé. She worked as repetiteur for British Youth Opera, Cambridge Philharmonic, Independent Opera, Kammerphilharmonie Graubunden and Pop-up Opera. Tamara is co-founder of the opera company XOGA, which promotes minority languages and female talent. The company has received many grants and performed across the UK.

She accompanied masterclasses by clarinetists Michel Lethiec, Anthony Pay, Henri Bok, Hans Deinzer, Fabrizio Meloni and José Luis Estellés. She was staff accompanist at King’s College University in London and collaborated regularly with the Centre for Galician Studies at Oxford University as soloist and accompanist. She has performed in China, Cuba, France, Germany, Morocco, Spain, the UK and the US.

Tamara has a Fellowship and Master of Arts (Repetiteur) from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, a Master of Music (Piano) from the Manhattan School of Music where she studied with Nina Svetlanova, a Postgraduate (Piano) from the Akademia Muzyczna w Krakowie, and a degree (Conducting) from the Zurcher Hochschule der Kunste. During her studies she won several competitions and was supported by scholarships including Help Musicians UK, Leverhulme Trust, Segundo Gil Dávila Foundation, Pedro Barrié de la Maza Foundation and the Spanish Ministry of Education.

Sebastian Keen, Violoncello 

Cellist Sebastian Keen was born in Bonn, Germany. He finished his studies in cello with Hannah Roberts and Moray Welsh at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, England. In Manchester, he also studied composition with Simon Parkin. He continued his studies as a cellist at the University of Music Franz Liszt in Weimar, Germany. After his graduation with Prof. Brunhard Böhme he taught at the university in Weimar for ten years.

Since 2001 he has been solo cellist with the Meiningen Court Orchestra. He has also toured and recorded his own original arrangements with the ensemble „Thüringen´s 12 Cellists”.
